The user is struggling with tracking their slow weight loss and needs a way to visualize their progress and set manageable goals. A standalone web app that allows users to log their weight, caloric intake, and exercise, while providing visual feedback on their progress over time, would be highly beneficial and address their specific frustration.

Original Discovery

I’m struggling with really slow weight loss and there is no one I can talk to about it. My family are all really judgemental about being overweight, and just see me as doing a bad job even though I feel like I am doing everything I can! I have only lost 10 pounds in 10 months (from 220 to 210). I feel like I am losing weight but there is no change on the scale. I have been tracking calories for a year, and eating 1700 calories a day (just dropped to 1600, can’t go lower without feeling hungry and breaking down and binging). I eat healthy. Lots of vegetables. I do rely on meal prep services because I have a brain injury, and struggle to organize myself, but the meals are decently healthy. Also most exercise makes me dizzy and nauseated because of the brain injury but I do walk for 30 minutes to an hour every day. I also have an hour weightlifting once a week, although I have to take breaks to let dizziness subside, so I don’t get a ton done. I intended to have slow sustainable changes that I can keep up. But this is really freaking slow. I am still under a lot of stress, I gained all the weight (from 140 to 220) during a serious depressive episode two years ago, and I was on antidepressants until 6 months ago. And I am dealing with a brain injury. I feel like I am doing all I can, and I am going to continue but it really seems like something is not working! I am female, 5’8.
